Information you provide
When you create an account, AutoType handles your email address, username, display name and authentication details through Supabase. Your profile may also include an avatar, description, uploaded images, equipped items and preferences you choose.
Using the game creates progress information, including completed rounds, scores, words, streaks, XP, achievements, virtual currency and leaderboard results. Features such as friend requests, messages, tournaments, word suggestions and feedback process the content you submit.
Where information is visible
Profile details, usernames and some competitive results may be visible to other players. Messages are intended for their participants. Avoid posting sensitive personal information in your profile, messages, suggestions or public feedback.
How information is used
We use this information to authenticate accounts, save progress, display requested features, operate multiplayer and social tools, respond to reports, prevent misuse and maintain the service.
Some preferences and guest progress are stored on your device through browser storage. Hosting, authentication and security services may process technical information such as browser details, device information and IP addresses to deliver and protect the website.
Services involved
GitHub Pages hosts the website. Supabase provides authentication, databases and uploaded-image storage. Resend is used for transactional account emails. AutoType has also tested payment flows using Stripe in a beta/test configuration; live payments are not enabled at the time of this update.
Service providers may handle information necessary to perform these operations under their own privacy practices.
Advertising and cookies
AutoType is preparing to use Google AdSense, but live advertising is not enabled as of this policy update. If advertising is activated, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads based on visits to this and other websites. Google and advertising partners may use this information to provide personalized advertising, depending on applicable choices and requirements.
You can review Google's advertising choices at My Ad Center and learn more about Google's use of data at Google advertising technologies. We will update this policy and configure applicable consent and privacy controls before turning on advertising.
Data storage and retention
Signed-in account records and progress are stored by our service providers to operate the game. Browser preferences may remain on your device until you clear them. Some records may need to be retained when necessary for security, troubleshooting or legal obligations.
Your options
You can adjust gameplay and appearance settings, edit profile information and request permanent account deletion from Settings when signed in. For a password-reset link, use Account. AutoType is still a beta. If we add new analytics, advertising services or important data practices, we'll update this page.
